Practical Ideas for Designing Better E-Learning by David Anderson

Elearning Guild Annual Gathering 2008

Spent the weekend putting the final touches on my Elearning Guild sim for my Espresso Learning session this week on Second Life and virtual worlds.

Espresso sessions are meant to be informal and conversational without slides or handouts, however, I always prefer to have some sort of live demonstration running when talking about Second Life.

This will be an “espresso” session in every sense of the word. I fly into Orlando two hours before my session. Immediately after my session, I race back to the airport to fly home to Phoenix where I’ll spend my “vacation” packing and preparing for our (official) move to Dallas.

Oque, I was wondering if this is still up? I will be developing a sim (the plan is a full sim at the moment) for the upcoming DevLearn08 conference. I am always looking for inspiration and your Flickr pics look great of your build. Very clean and well made for avatar use.

Hi David – Thanks for the great feedback. I really liked that build.

It was up for the conference but limited space required me to take it down. I’m rebuilding a new space for my DevLearn08 Second Life workshop.

I see you’re going to DevLearn. We should try and connect before the conference. I’d love to see what you’re putting together.

Hi Guys! You are the two best SecondLife Developers I know. And so I will definitely be connecting the 2 of you before DevLearn08. I’m really looking forward to it.
    Cheers!
    Brent
